August part 2

This week we have Anne's lovely tapestry. She's recently brought one of the lovely Bothy fairy tale silhouettes (we're all very jealous), and has promised that she's going to finish this first.
Secondly, here's my blanket. I have actually finish it now, and it has less border than it does in the picture. I decided the border didn't look right, I'd put too many stitches in down one side and it was making it bunch up, so I pulled it out and re-did it, and my other half thought it looked god with just the navy stripe.

August part 1

I'm going to start this month by showing off Sam's work. She was getting a little frustrated because she'd got behind in the SAL, but she's now caught up, and we all think that this is ridiculously cute!

June Part 2

First is Anne's lovely cross stitch, started this week, and she's already got loads to see, I'm very impressed by how much she did.
Next come my sheep, and they're actually starting to look a bit sheep like, finally!
And finally Susie's crochet, this is so fine, done with cross stitch thread, so how she didn't go cross-eyed working on it I really don't know.

June Part 1

Yeah, I've been rubbish at keeping this upto date recently, I'm sorry!
Here's some progress thought. Isobel and Sam are currently working on the same project, so I thought it would be interesting to see them side by side, and start to see where their different colour choices are coming through.
This is Sam's
And this is Isobel's.
I forget the name, I want to say Holmsley Hare, but I'm not guaranteeing any part of that spelling!

March part final

Anyone who follows my personal blog will know that there are a lot of gifts in my life at the moment. These are the start of three baby blankets, pretty colours, wish me luck!
Sam's working on this beauty at the moment, the Cloudsfactory SAL, and she's going great guns on it. I've got a SAL that I joined for 2014 and Sam's already further ahead on this one than I am on that.

Finally...

I've been such a bag blogger recently, and I apologise for that. Isobel's going great guns on this, and she was planning on getting this finished soon, so she may be all done by now! Can't wait to see how it looks.
And my blanket continues, it's getting bigger, it finally feels like a blanket, which is great, it keeps me warm while I'm working on it now.

Bad Blogger

I have a deep rooted suspicion that I shouldn't be allowed to look after this blog, I do have a slight habit of forgetting to post things, sorry!
Anyway, Anne's latest tapestry is growing, it's gorgeous, I do love the colours of this one.

And here we have Sam's little badge, isn't he gorgeous? He's stitched on wood, and I love the little button for the tail.
Susie's back on the socks with the magic yarn, I do love watching the patterns come up with her socks.
And finally my blanket has some more stripes, I'm aware that my pictures are a little samey at the moment.

February part 2

I told you that we'd had lots of finishes to show off this week, he's Sam's gorgeous snowman, I'm so impressed, lots of backstitch and so much white, she's so much more patient than me.
And here's the bag that Susie's made. Again, I'm very impressed, I don't think I'd even have known where to start. You don't want to know where she keeps her purse though

February part 1

We've actually had finishes to show off so, I'll be showing those off for the next couple of week.s
Anne's finished one of her tapestries, isn't it gorgeous? And you should see the next one that she's working on as well, so pretty! She bought this one if for us to see and how could I not then show it off here?
Isobel bought the bird tables out, and I managed a spectacularly bad picture of the colours, it really is so pretty.
And finally, by blanket continues to sprawl

January week 4

Susie's been working on this for quite some time (there's a chance that the child it was being made for has already grown out of it), but it's been made up, and personally I'm impressed that she can make something human shaped, I only work on things with right angles.

January week 3

We're on blankety goodness this week, Isobel and I are both working on the ripple stripe blanket by attic 24, albeit in different colour schemes, and different levels of progress. I've been working on mine for ages, and it's just stopped looking like a scarf.
Isobel's just started hers and is using the Coast colour scheme, and she seems to be rather enjoying it, I have to say that her colours do look fantastic.

Slightly Early Happy New Year

I have been a very bad blogger, both here and on my own blog, so here is the last post of the year and a promise that I will be much better next year. So, here is what everyone was working on at our last gathering before Christmas. Isobel was working on a travelling pattern which is very sweet, and I think this is the best photo I've got of her lovely fabric, although it still doesn't do it justice.
Next up is my Nemesis project, I have never had such trouble with a pattern before, this went to group with my last time because I was hoping that someone else could help me translate the pattern, They did, and thankfully it's not finished, I'll try and put a finished picture up at a later date.
Sam was making some lovely Christmas jumpers, I love this, who doesn't love a festive jumper?
And finally Susie was working on some socks with her magic sock yarn, I find these absolutely fascinating the way the yarn makes the pattern.

Happy New Year all, and if you'r New Year's resolution is to start a new craft, or spend more time working on one, then why not come along and join us, you can see that we work on quite a range of crafts.

December

I have been a terrible blogger recently, both here and on my own blog, so I apologise for that.
Firstly Isobel's lovely SAL, I love the fabric, but I can't get a decent picture of it.
And Sam's snowman is nearly done, I'm hoping for a Christmas finish

September

I've been a very bad blogger this month, first I forgot my camera, so these are all taken on my phone, hence the not great quality, then I was on holiday, so I've only got one weeks worth of photos and forgot to post, so here is everything that I've got a record of happening in September.
Firstly this is mine, my fingerless gloves. I have since finished them, and they're only a slightly different size, so I'll take that as a win. The colours don't come out great on my phone, they're honestly prettier in real life.

Sam is working on her snowman, who is looking great, and does now have cute and cuddly friends appearing as well, love it!

She's also finished this lovely little dude, very impressed by him!
And finally Susie restarted her rug because she wasn't happy with the colours. Loving this version, the cabling is coming out beautifully, and she's even managed to rib the bottom!

August part 4

I still love the fabric on this, this is the best picture I got so you can see the sparkle and colour, but it still doesn't do it justice. This is Isobel's lovely stitch along
I missed getting a sense of scale with this picture. Those are size sixteen knitting needles and this is going to be a rug made out of scraps of old clothes made by Susie. Without a pattern as well, I'm so impressed!

August pt 3

Anne is making a selection of gifts for a friend at the moment (early September deadline so she's working hard) and this lovely cross stitch is one of the gifts.
I'm working on crochet fingerless gloves. I've finished one, rather than darning in the ends and I'm now working on the second one. I've since undone the second one and restarted it again, so I'm getting there.
And we're still glad to have Sam back, here's what she's working on at the moment, so cute!

August part 2

It was lovely to see Rena back this month, and she brought along some crochet flowers that she's been experimenting with, aren't they cute?
And talking of crochet, believe it or not, I finally managed to finish the twiddle-muff, which means that this is also the first time that I finished a crocheted thing, so proud!
This week we also saw the return of Sam, who brought another piece of beautiful cross stitch with her.

August Part 1

Isobel has discovered the joy of SALs, this is her latest project, on some gorgeous sparkly fabric (very difficult to photograph the sparkle). It's it cute though!
My start on crochet fingerless gloves. Sadly I've since undone all of this because it was the wrong size, but at least you can see how I was starting off before I undid it all!

July Part 4

Isobel's carrying on with her lovely Bothy seasonal house, and you can really see the change from last time, I'm so impressed by her progress.
Secondly, and continuing in Anne putting me to shame last week, here's where my twiddle muff is up to. I'm absolutely set that I have to actually get this finished now, it's becoming ridiculous, especially as I've just learnt how to do corner to corner, so I'm tempted to do a second one like that!

July Part 3

It's all about Anne and her lovely creations this week. We realised last time, when I was working on my skirt, that the room we hire is actually perfect for cutting out patterns, so this week Anne brought al her cutting out with her. I think she managed to cut out five tops in two hours, and (due to me sneakily taking a picture), so can also see what the finished product will look like because she made the top that she's wearing as well!
Secondly, she's completely put me to shame by finishing her twiddle muff (I'm so ashamed that I still haven't). It looks fab and it's so tactile, Putting mine to shame in every way.
